Low Fat Cooking
I'm a mother, Air Force retired veteran, and volunteer. Over the years, I have become very mindful of what I eat. I buy organic foods when they are available, I watch my portion sizes, and above all, I watch my daily fat intake. I'm not into fried foods, fast foods especially. Growing up, we rarely ate out. We really had no choice but to cook our own meals; money was tight and we lived miles from the nearest restaurant. So there was a lot of trial and error in our kitchen. It seemed we never had all of the ingredients for a particular recipe, so we learned how to substitute ingredients or to just leave them out. It was then that I learned to love cooking.
